Funny, stress has never been higher, but I'm still able to function. Or at least I can still fool myself that I'm able to function. We had the "final" meeting on the legal matter and found out:

  • You can do nothing in court without an attorney
  • All the attorneys in this little 'berg sleep in the same bed at the same time in a mutual admiration society
  • Thank God for my wife who insisted on being there or we would have been in deep kimshi
  • When you pay an attorney and he ignores what you ask him to do, doesn't grasp or regurgitate the key facts back to you when you ask, tells you a court date is a day later than what's on the subpoena and tells you in general that "it doesn't matter".
    • Believe him because the opposing attorney will tell the judge attorney that your attorney has done an "exemplary job for his clients in this matter".
There was a time, in my youth when I was convinced of personal duty in regards to people operating in a free society that took advantage of their position, knowledge and luck to rape others that held the ideals stated both in the founding documents of this country but in all the surrounding literature of the founders written in that day.The nation has become so ridiculously absurd that there are no shared values, no sense of justice, no right or wrong.... only the "me". Against that backdrop the duty is survival.
